Comp-Tac MTAC IWB Carry Holster
We produce products for the most popular make and model pistols, S&W, Glock, Springfield, H&K, Sig Sauer and many more. Please select your pistol from the Make and Model drop down!
The MTAC is an inside the waistband Kydex and leather hybrid holster designed for concealed carry. Created to be worn behind the hip at 4:00 or 5:00, this holster offers the best in comfort and speed for concealed carry use.
The MTAC’s top grain cow hide leather backing is the most comfortable material to wear against your skin. It provides a soft flexible material that does not rub or pinch.
The Kydex body on the MTAC provides a rigid material that is custom fit to each firearm and maintains its shape even with the pistol un-holstered. The smooth, low friction surface allows for a fast draw and easy one-handed re-holstering of the firearm. The all-Kydex body will not bend or stretch over time and is impervious to sweat and solvents.
The MTAC’s Kydex body is also interchangeable, allowing you to have one holster for all of your firearms. You can purchase spare bodies on the Spare Body page.
The MTAC attaches to the belt by two clips mounted to the leather tabs on either side of the holster. These mounting clips distribute the weight of the loaded pistol while holding securely to the belt. A shirt may be tucked in over the gun and holster providing complete concealment. The clips will also allow for ride depth or cant adjustment by using the different mounting holes.
The MTAC can be purchased with either 1.5” Black Standard Clips or 1.5” Black C-Clips. To purchase other clips styles, sizes or colors, please visit our Holster Parts and Hardware or the clip pages below. Additional clips are only $2 each.
Standard Clips: A “P” shaped clip that slides over the top of the belt and hooks underneath. Holster may be put on while belt is already threaded through loops. Not recommended for nylon belts.
C-Clip: A “C” shaped clip that grips the belt at the top and bottom. The belt must be fed through clips while putting it on. These clips have less visible surface area showing during concealment. C-clips work with all types of belts, ideal for nylon.
V-Clip: Clips slide over the waistband of pants and attach to Velcro on inside of belt. Holster attaches before belt is put on through pant loops. V-clips offer the highest level of concealment with no part of the clip visible outside of the pants. The loop side of the Velcro is provided with these clips. The easiest way to attach this clip is to a belt with the Velcro already sewn on. Please see Comp-Tac Kydex Reinforced Belts for this Velcro option.
The “Slide” version allows the user to use one holster for similar guns of different lengths (such as Glock 9mm, .40, and .357). The Slide is typically slightly longer than the shortest gun of the series, and left open so that longer guns may ‘slide’ through the end of the holster.
Slide versions of outside the waistband holsters are recommended for range work only. While carrying a longer firearm in a slide holster, the end is left exposed and the user must be careful not to bump the exposed muzzle up against anything that might dislodge the firearm, i.e. sitting down in an arm chair.
Not all Models will have the de-bossing (make and model) listed on the outside of the holster. We are working to update all of our models to have this, it is an ongoing process.
Comp-Tac fit checks EVERY holster with the actual make and model firearm ordered. As a result, the leather backing may show slight wear marks or scratches from the fit process.
Leather is natural product with unique characteristics that differ from hide to hide. Due to these differences shade and color variations are to be expected. This is not a fault or flaw in leather, Comp-Tac uses genuine natural top grain cow-hide to make all of our Comp-Tac leather products.
Warranty: Comp-Tac products are covered under a one year warranty and the 30 NOBS Guarantee. Due to the cosmetic vulnerability of leather, Comp-Tac reserves the right to charge a 20% restocking fee on any leather returns or exchanges that are deemed to be damaged or abused.
