CGW 11 Pound CZ SP01 / Shadow 2 Reduced Power Recoil Spring by Cajun Gun Works
CGW’s own 11 pound recoil spring made from music wire. Fits full size Canik and CZ’s including the CZ-97B/BD. Color coded “yellow”.
TECH TIP: There are 2 methods for selecting the correct recoil spring. The most common method is based on the ejection distance of a fired case. Ideally, the case should land 6-8 feet from you stance. This method allows your CZ to achieve the correct slide velocity that is critical for extraction, ejection, feeding, and slide lock. The other method, for competition shooters, is how fast your sights re-align with the target.

CZ Shadow 2 with 125 gr FMJ - Light Comp Rounds
Swapped out the factory recoil spring for the 11 lb CGW recoil spring for my Shadow 2. Works great, muzzle seems to return more consistently to my POA. I am using lighter loads (124gr FMJ & poly coated bullets) with 4.2/4.3 of W231/HP38. Guessing I am just around 125 PF, but have not chrono'd. Ejection of cases is between 6 - 8 feet and slide locks back every time on last round. Seems perfect based on CGW recommendations for selecting a recoils spring.
