Walther PDP & PPQ Parts & Upgrades
Walther's PDP and PPQ pistols have become popular platforms in USPSA Carry Optics and Production — ergonomic, accurate, and with a factory trigger that becomes excellent with a simple spring kit upgrade. Ben Stoeger Pro Shop stocks parts and upgrades for both the current PDP and the earlier PPQ platform, covering trigger kits, magazine extensions, guide rods, and optic plates.

- Optic Plates — FCD OPF-PDP v2 ACRO plate (PDP v2 only), CHPWS plates for PDP in multiple optic footprints

PDP vs. PPQ — Which Platform Do You Have?
- Walther PDP (Performance Duty Pistol) — Walther's current-generation striker-fired competition and duty pistol, introduced 2021. Available in Full Size and Compact. Most current aftermarket support (Henning, Floyd's, FCD, Taylor Freelance) targets the PDP.
- Walther PPQ — Walther's earlier striker-fired pistol, predecessor to the PDP. Some magazine and trigger components are cross-compatible between PPQ and PDP Compact models — verify specific part compatibility before ordering, as frame and slide geometry differ between the two platforms.
Key Upgrade Brands
- Sprinco — TSK trigger spring kit (the most impactful first upgrade) and Recoil Management Guide Rod System. Designed with Daniel Thompson of Team Walther.
- Floyd's Custom Shop — PDP magwell and matched +4 magazine extension system. Must use Floyd's magwell with Floyd's extension.
- Henning Group — +4 magazine extension for PDP Full Size. Compatible with CSRG or MBX follower for additional capacity.
- Taylor Freelance — Competition Basepad for PDP full-size polymer frame. Steel frame caution: if you run a full-size steel frame PDP, pair this basepad with the Taylor Freelance magwell — without it, the magazine can over-penetrate and contact the ejector during a slide-locked-back reload.
- Forward Controls Design (FCD) — OPF-PDP v2 ACRO optic plate. PDP v2 only — not compatible with PDP v1.
- CHPWS — optic adapter plates for PDP in multiple optic footprints.
Compatibility Warnings
- PDP v1 vs v2: Walther updated the PDP in 2023, changing optic mounting and some accessory fitment. FCD's OPF-PDP v2 ACRO plate fits v2 only. Verify your PDP version before ordering optic plates.
- PDP steel frame + Taylor Freelance basepad: requires the Taylor Freelance magwell to avoid ejector contact on reload — see note above.
- Floyd's matched system: Floyd's extensions are designed to work with Floyd's magwells only — not the factory Walther magwell.
