During my upgrading process on my pistol I've found three problems with my pistol that was purchased new around 2010. 1. The Trigger: It had been worked and/or machined in a way that produced the off-aligned triggers causing the out-of-trigger-guard problem seen in many Tanfoglio Elite line pistols. Ask Henning. 2: The Hammer Strut had also been worked and/or filed in such a way to make re-installation problematic that led to this discovery. Replacement caused unintentional but a fully desired increase in performance that included an EGD Xtreme 14lb Spring upgrade. 3. The Firing Pin Retainer: I found this part to also have slightly damaged surface (small notch/nick) bottom side that rides the slide. Hence the replacement. I'd suggest to every firearm owner to disassemble all their firearm (some will not apply, i.e. Win. Type Lever Actions and others) to discover possible damaged, substandard and/or ill-manufactured parts hiding in your firearms. Something that I had previously only performed on rifles. I mean total or almost total disassembly. BSPS has given me the means to re-build a fine weapon. Thanks again!
