  • Heat Treated
  • Polished pre and post hard chrome finish
  • Rolled edges to reduce spring friction and drag
  • Non mim part for better consistency and performance

  • CZ75B
  • CZ75BD

Thought it was just another billet part...I was wrong

Posted by Gareth on Jul 23rd 2025

I thought that this was another over priced billet part and that it being not MIM or cast was all it had going for it. No, it's more than that. That being said to preface this so you know what I am running and to compare it to: I have a manual safety 75 SP-01 that has mostly Cajun Gun Works pro package but with an Armory Craft Simi flat trigger adjustable for pre and post travel via the reach reduction kit I bought from CGW. So I would imagine to get all that you can performance wise out of this hammer strut you'd have to have a similar set up, I know CZ Custom has their own reach reduction kit as well. The difference between the stock strut and this ICM strut was instantly noticeable, before when I would cock the hammer with the stock MIM strut the hammer had a lot of slop to it and would continue to move rearwards after it engaged with the sear, the ICM strut filles out a lot more of that gap in the pin goes into the hammer, the hammer feels much tighter overall. Further more, now I didn't check it, but there must be some dimensional differences between the stock strut and this one because it compresses the hammer spring more which leads to a noticably more positive hammer strike. As expensive as this strut is I will attest to it being worth it and not just a billet version of the stock strut and I wish I had bought more than just one, in fact I am going to be purchasing a few more for future CZ 75s and a Shadow 2 I plan to buy. The only negative things or possible complaints I can see people having about this strut aside from the price (in my opinion it's a fair price) is that it only comes in polished stainless, I wish it came Melonited or DLC black or something like that and I did notice that because it does compress the hammer spring more it does make the double action "feel" heavier, I say "feel" because I did not measure it before and after that is just my perception of the double action characteristics of this strut design. It doesn't change the "smoothness" of the CGW Pro Package as in there isn't more stacking or any funky hinks to it but it does feel a tad bit heavier in double action. Single action is NOT effected at all, so that is a positive. But that being said if you want to tighten up your CZ 75 SP-01 or Shadow 2 more this is what will do it. I am impressed and like I said will be buying a few more of these and will go in every CZ 75 I own from here on out. Also I would like to thank the Ben Stoeger Pro Shop for sending this and everything else I have ever ordered from them very quickly and always packaging everything I have ordered from them very professionally. I've never had any problems with them and I always get my orders quickly and on time! Thank you! You guys have earned a life long customer!
