JURY'S BACK IN
I've been shooting with this recoil spring setup in completion for about a month now and after a break-in period I have found it to work quite well. I am still not a fan of uncaptured recoil springs and this one is no exception when it comes to installing it back into the firearm. Perceived recoil does seem a little softer than the factory recoil spring.

I have never been a big fan of uncultured recoil springs. This one is no exception. Took it to the range to test it out to see if it lives up to the claims of softer perceived recoil and enhanced buffer protection. I can't honestly say either of these claims proved out to be true to any appreciable degree. Because the spring is uncultured I found it to be a pain in the neck to install and line up. We'll have to see how this recoil spring works out over time.

Made my Q5 SF even better...
Thought I would try this, as I have been match shooting my Q5 and was looking for a speed increase. This system works as advertised and gave an honest 20% reduction in felt recoil. The end result is my speed did increase. Quality part.
