Competition Electronics Pocket Pro Shot Timer | CEI-2800
The Competition Electronics Pocket Pro (CEI-2800) is the entry-level shot timer from Competition Electronics — the American company that has been building shot timers for over 30 years. The Pocket Pro does exactly what a shot timer needs to do: it beeps, it records your shots, and it shows you the data. No hit factor calculator, no Bluetooth, no app. Just reliable, accurate shot timing at the lowest price point in the Competition Electronics lineup.
At $125.99, it's $12 under manufacturer retail and the most accessible way to get a proven USA-made shot timer into your range bag today.
What the Pocket Pro Does
- Records shot time intervals for personal practice and match scoring
- 50-shot string memory — review forward or reverse
- Direct review of shots, split times, and shot number
- Par time — second beep to indicate a time limit for draw and reload drills
- Instant or Random delayed start — random is the correct setting for solo training to prevent anticipating the beep
- Ergonomic ambidextrous design — start button on the side so right or left hand operation doesn't cover the microphone or buzzer
- Separate shot sensor and buzzer — positioned for best detection performance
- Large display with ½" numbers — readable at a glance
- Clothespin-style belt clip — fits over a shooting belt for RO use; easy on and off
- Adjustable sensitivity
- Auto-shutoff after 10 minutes of inactivity
- Low battery indicator

The Repair Guarantee
Competition Electronics will repair any Pocket Pro they've ever manufactured — regardless of condition — for no more than half the current retail price. Pocket Pro vs ProTimer — Which Should You Buy?
The Pocket Pro is the right choice if you need a simple, reliable timer to get started or to equip a squad without spending more than necessary. If you want more — specifically built-in hit factor scoring, 50-string numbered memory with date/time stamps, and 5 par time settings — step up to the ProTimer CEI-4730 ($134.95). For all of the above plus Bluetooth and PractiScore 2 integration, the ProTimer BT CEI-4720 ($149.95) is worth the additional cost for most competitors.
Need dry fire detection? See the AMG Lab Sidekick ($66). Want video-synced training data? See the SG Timer GO ($164.99).

Hope the replacement is better than the first one.
I just received this and everything works fine except the random timer. It goes beep right away, no matter which way I push the slider. Called the factory and they are sending me a new one, while I sent this one back to them. Both are held up in transit because of the civil disturbances.

Great timer for many applications
The timer is great if you want to practice dry fire or at the range, love the par time option so I can set a second timer to see if I am I am improving my speed of moving between targets or even drawing my gun and pulling the trigger in under 1 second.
