Springer Precision — Basepads, Magazine Extensions & Magwells
Springer Precision makes competition and duty-focused magazine basepads, extensions, and magwells for Glock and CZ pistols. Their EZ Basepad line is a popular choice for competitors maximizing magazine length to the USPSA 140mm gauge, while their LE/Tactical basepad line serves USPSA Production division and duty use where extended reloads matter more than added capacity.
Glock Basepads & Extensions
- 140mm Tactical Magazine Extension — for Glock Mec-Gar 18-round magazines, with optional extra power spring. Added traction texture assists with reloads. Unique locking mechanism with discrete set screw. Designed to work with Springer Precision magwells and fit the USPSA 140mm gauge.
- LE/Tactical Basepad — CNC-machined 6061 aluminum, hard anodized, designed for law enforcement and USPSA Production/IDPA use. Lengthens the magazine .375"-.41" for easier, more reliable reloads without adding capacity. Side cutouts assist with tactical reloads and malfunction clearance, and work well with gloves. Does not fit Magpul magazines.
CZ Basepads
Springer Precision produces 140mm EZ Basepads for the CZ competition lineup:
- CZ Shadow 2 & SP-01 — 140mm EZ Basepad for 18-round magazines; also available in a Base Pad-only configuration
- CZ Tactical Sport — 140mm Base Pad, fits factory magwell
- CZ P09 / P07 / P10C — 140mm EZ Basepad
All CZ EZ Basepads are designed to bring magazines to the USPSA 140mm competition length. Note: due to natural variation in mass-produced magazines, some fitment (light sanding on the magazine bottom) may occasionally be required.
Magwells
- Brass Competition Magwell for Glock G17/G34 Gen 5 — CNC-machined from solid brass, one-piece design for durability. The added weight and wider opening provide a genuine reload advantage in Limited and Open division. Cerakoted black finish. Compatible with factory and Springer Precision basepads.
Important: Magazine Gauge Compatibility
Because magazines from different manufacturers vary slightly — particularly at the magazine lips where the extension or basepad attaches — always test and verify your specific magazine fits the USPSA 140mm/170mm gauge before using in competition. Springer Precision cannot guarantee compatibility with aftermarket magwells from other manufacturers unless specifically stated. If you have questions about fitment for your specific magazine and pistol combination, contact BSPS before ordering.
Follower Note
Some Springer Precision basepads are designed for use with a Grams Engineering follower. Depending on the follower design, the slide may or may not lock back on the last round — this is a normal characteristic of competition-tuned followers, not a defect.
