Cheely Custom Gunworks manufactures precision parts for 2011 and 1911 pattern pistols out of their shop in Hudson, Michigan. Every part is made in the USA, and the brand is still small enough that owner and founder Matt Cheely picks up the phone. For competitors building or upgrading a 2011, Cheely is one of the most respected names in American-made frame components, grip kits, and small parts — the kind of shop that serious gunsmiths and DIY builders go to when they want it done right.
The Cheely E2 Grip Kit is the flagship product — a complete 2011 grip module available in aluminum and stainless steel configurations. Each kit includes the grip, mag release, mainspring housing, and a "pinned" beavertail machined to match the contour. Available with or without magwell. The E2 is the grip kit of choice for competitors building a custom 2011 from the frame up, or upgrading an existing STI/Staccato-pattern frame.
Cheely produces the XWF (Extra Wide Frame) in standard and Heavy Open configurations — 2011-pattern frames machined for competition builds. The XWF Heavy Open ($350) is designed for Open division guns with additional weight forward of the trigger guard. Both frames are available in stock at BSPS.
Beyond grips and frames, Cheely makes a full line of 2011 and 1911 small parts including:
Cheely parts are designed for 2011-pattern and STI-pattern pistols including custom builds, Staccato, SVI, and similar double-stack 1911 platforms. The E2 grip kits are also available in 1911 single-stack configurations. Always verify compatibility with your specific pistol platform before ordering — contact BSPS if you have questions.
