PACT Club Timer III Shot Timer — USPSA & IDPA Competition

The PACT Club Timer III has been trusted at USPSA and IDPA matches for decades. While newer timers chase Bluetooth connectivity and app integration, the Club Timer III focuses on doing one job with absolute reliability: accurately timing every shot, every time, with a buzzer loud enough to be heard through double hearing protection at an outdoor range.

PACT Built Their Own Buzzer

When PACT set out to build the Club Timer III, they found that every commercially available buzzer on the market wasn't loud enough. So they engineered their own. The result is a custom-built buzzer that outperforms every standard beeper used in competing timers. At a busy outdoor USPSA match, you'll hear it. At an indoor range, you'll definitely hear it.

Designed for Competition Use

  • Large display with large font — shows shot count, time to first shot, total time, and split time between the last two shots by default. No button pushing to see your key numbers.
  • Waterproof keypad — recessed control buttons sit below the top edge of the timer so they can't be accidentally pressed while running between positions at a match
  • Buzzer and microphone on the side — positioned away from your hand to prevent blocking either during use
  • Integral belt clip — clips directly to your belt for RO use without extra hardware
  • Instant or Random delayed start — random delay is the correct setting for solo training to prevent anticipating the beep
  • Par time — set a second beep for draw drills, reload drills, or stage simulation (max 99.99 seconds)
  • Review button — scroll through every shot in the string with individual time and split displayed
  • Sensitivity adjustable via screw under battery compartment (PACT recommends leaving at default for most uses)
  • 9V battery — standard alkaline or lithium; widely available, long life
  • Auto-shutoff after inactivity

One Important Limitation to Know

The PACT Club Timer III's par time maxes out at 99.99 seconds. For USPSA and IDPA — where stages rarely exceed 60 seconds — this is never an issue. If you shoot 3-gun, multigun, or Tactical Games where stages can run 180 seconds or longer, the Club Timer III is not the right tool. For those disciplines, look at the SG Timer GO or SG Timer 2, which have no effective stage time limit.

Who the PACT Club Timer III Is For

USPSA and IDPA competitors who want a proven, no-fuss timer that works without a smartphone, a Bluetooth connection, or a learning curve. Range Officers who need a belt-clipped timer they can hand to any squad member. Defensive shooters who want the discipline of timed drills without paying for features they'll never use. Anyone who has been around competitive shooting long enough to know the PACT name — and trust it.

If you want Bluetooth and PractiScore integration at a similar price, see the Competition Electronics ProTimer BT ($149.95). For dry fire-specific training, the AMG Lab Sidekick ($66) is purpose-built for striker click detection.
