S&W M&P Optic Plate for Trijicon RMR & SRO by Forward Controls Design
OPF-SW RMR is only guaranteed to fit properly and work with Trijicon RMR and SRO. Though Holosun 407c and 507c sights can work, we only support sights made in the US and allied countries. The included sight to plate screws will only work with RMR and SRO. For 407c and 507c, please use the short set of screws that come with the Holosun sights, they are different. Factory sights are too low for OPF-SW, ACRO. Ameriglo and we are developing new co-witness backup sights that will allow lower 1/3 co-witness.
Continuing the tradition of reliable duty grade, precision machined steel optics interface plates in both companies' line up, OPF-SW, RMR is made for Smith & Wesson M&P CORE 2.0 and M2.0 pistols.
For optics interface plates, things that matter: tolerances, material, and a means to keep the sight immobile, or deny it movement in recoil.
Tight tolerances reduce the plate's movement on the slide, and the sight's movement on the plate, but that alone sometimes isn't enough. For older sights like RMR that have fairly loose tolerances, the fences on our plate are designed to cradle it and hold it immobile. Newer sights like DPP and RMRcc don't need the fences, we still incorporate them whenever possible.
Material matters. For optics interface plates, Tangodown and we only use steel, all of our plates are military/duty grade.
Torque value for included 6-32 x ¼ T15 plate to slide screws: 13 to 15 in ·lb.
Torque value for RMR to plate: 13 in ·lb.
