Staccato / Checkmate / Prodigy 17 Round 126mm +3 Basepad Extension by Continuous Precision

The CP +3 Magazine Extension is designed for factory 17-round / 126mm magazines and follows our "Function First" philosophy. Using the factory magazine spring, this extension increases capacity from 17+1 to 20+1 while maintaining a shorter overall length than a factory 20-round / 140mm magazine.

Designed for reliability, durability, and improved handling, these extensions help prevent over-insertion while providing additional weight and grip for faster, more positive reloads.

Magazine Compatibility

Choose the version that matches your magazine:

• Staccato / Check-Mate – Designed for factory Staccato and Check-Mate 2011 magazines.
• Springfield Prodigy / Duramag – Features a slightly larger feed lip relief cut to accommodate the greater dimensional variation commonly found in Duramag-manufactured Prodigy magazines. This version will also fit Prodigy factory magazines using the Duramag magazine body.

Extension Installation/Removal

These extensions are designed to utilize the factory magazine floorplate. During installation, the factory floorplate is simply moved out of the way and remains inside the magazine body.

The factory floorplate does not retain the extension. Instead, the supplied screws securely lock the extension to the magazine body while allowing the factory floorplate to continue supporting the magazine spring as originally designed.

During removal, loosen the locking screws and press the follower up into the magazine tube for easy removal without binding the spring.
