By replacing your factory follower and spring with a Grams kit, competition shooters typically gain +1 to +2 additional rounds of capacity in 140mm extended magazines — rounds that can mean the difference between finishing a stage and running dry.
Factory magazine followers are designed for reliable function at factory capacity. They're not optimized for maximum capacity with extended basepads. The Grams "Format C" follower has a different geometry — a thinner profile and more efficient taper — that allows one or two additional rounds to stack in the same tube length. Paired with Grams' tuned competition springs (available in 11-coil and 13-coil lengths for different magazine lengths), the result is a magazine that runs at the highest competition capacity reliably.
