CR Speed Ultra II (2) Ratchet Competition Belt by Rescomp
The CR Speed Ultra II (2) Ratchet Competition Belt combines CR Speed's proven two-piece competition belt system with a ratcheting buckle for a secure, precise fit. Designed for USPSA, IPSC, and practical shooting competition, the Ultra Ratchet gives shooters the rigidity of a traditional CR Speed inner and outer belt with the added ability to quickly fine-tune belt tension.
The rigid outer belt provides a stable platform for your holster, magazine pouches, and other competition gear, while the ratchet system allows for small adjustments to belt tension without repositioning the Velcro overlap. The included CR Speed Ratchet inner belt is specifically designed to work with the ratcheting system and features a section intended to compress or "crumple" as the ratchet is tightened. This allows the outer belt to cinch down properly without the inner belt preventing the ratchet from tightening. This compression is intentional and is part of the inner belt's design.
This belt uses an m2 High Release 1" thermoplastic ratcheting buckle paired with a 1" x 13" soft thermoplastic ladder strap. The High Release buckle provides easy access to the release lever while the flexible ladder strap allows the ratchet to progressively tighten the belt for a secure and comfortable fit.
The 13" ladder strap is intentionally supplied long and can be cut down to your preferred length if there is more excess strap than needed for your setup. We recommend confirming your desired fit and adjustment range before trimming the strap, as once the strap is cut, the belt cannot be returned. CR Speed also includes a 3D-printed strap keeper that slides over the competition belt and helps retain any additional ladder strap extending past the ratchet buckle for a cleaner, more secure setup.

Belt Sizing:
For the best fit, measure your actual waist where you plan to wear the competition belt, then subtract approximately 2-3" from that measurement to determine your CR Speed Ratchet Belt size.
The overall length of the belt is close to the selected belt size. Unlike a traditional competition belt that relies on additional overlap, the ratchet system needs room to pull the ends of the belt together and cinch the belt down. Choosing a belt approximately 2-3" smaller than your measured waist provides the adjustment range needed to properly tighten the ratchet.
We tested multiple sizes in-house and recommend the following as a general sizing guide:

Example: If your actual waist measures 35", we recommend ordering a 32" belt. This gives the ratchet enough room to cinch the belt down securely while still providing adjustment in either direction.
These recommendations are based on our in-house fit testing. Individual fit may vary depending on where you wear your competition belt and how tightly you prefer to wear it.
